The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
